i spoke too soon...

the lurgy has hit...well it's hit Mr H...he has been in bed for 3 days with flu - not of the man variety - real flu (which he says would kill a woman!) and to top it all off just when he thought he had turned a corner, he goes and finds himself with an ear infection...what a start to 2013 eh!

this is a gorgeous necklace which was a gift from my brother in law and future sister in law...see...it does pay to leave what you are viewing on the laptop open so people can get ideas for christmas...

empty christmas tins...these will come in useful when me and Miss T swap rooms in a few weeks time...this will be a HUGE undertaking...involving plastering ceilings and lots of painting and Miss T moving into the loft room with the boys until her new room is finished...i am crocheting her blanket for her room (which i started last March as part of Granny A Day...)

its 7X8 granny circles at the mo...

next week sees school start again plus all the extra clubs that go with a normal term time week...i am however...going to London on Saturday for a spot of shopping and a theatre trip...exciting!

happy weekending folks

the one about the flowers and the red shoes...

a beautiful mini candlestick made by the very talented Victoria Delany it's beautiful, and holds a little tea light in it as well as a long candle...go and check out her website...she is a super dooper talented crafty lady...

recent makes: more apple thingy ma jigs to give to teachers tomorrow...would you believe the humble Golden Delicious apples seems to be out of favour...i usually get my fruit at the supermarket with my main weekly shop,(please don't lecture me on buying local produce...) but i wanted to get a few apples the other day, so popped into the green grocers and was more or less laughed out the shop when i asked where the golden delicious apples were...he said "we haven't had those for ages, not much call for them these days" WHAT...i was brought up on Golden Delicious apples....so i tried the stalls on the market...again...no Golden Delicious....whats going on?!?!?!

red shoooooooes...i like red shoes...and so does Miss T...choosing to wear mine on top of her school shoes! My eldest told me i had too many shoes the other day, so i had a bit of a sort out and realised that almost all my shoes are red...

woolly piles...

well...i've been a bit busy with a bit of this, that and the other recently...

it was Clutter City on Saturday...the weather was nice so that meant we didn't have many people coming inside to browse...shame, but i don't blame them...if i hadn't had a stall i would probably have been heading out the city too...

woolly piles...this is my wrist warmer stash...i usually sell quite a few of these little delights at Clutter City...(even the summer ones)...i make grown up sizes and also children sizes too...i sell them for £9, and £5 for the smaller ones...think i might take them round a few nice shops here in lovely Norwich to see if they want to buy any in for the Autumn...any thoughts anyone??

this is a rather lovely brooch made by Canny Belle who had a stall at Clutter City...i love it...and it seems very apt with the weather at the mo...

notebook covers

i made a fair few sales which was good, and i got to sit and chat with my friend Rachael too...the world is now a better place...

well...i'm off on Saturday with Kath from  Inverleith on a very exciting adventure up to Nottinghamsire to meet the fantastic Tif (Dottie Angel) and Rachelle (Ted & Agnes) i really can't wait for a day with like minded crafty types...i have a feeling next weeks blog posts will be picture heavy...with chopped off heads...

have a good one folks...

last night i started on cutting out some cloud cushions ready for the Clutter City fair...i was thinking of selling them in groups of 3, like these i made a few weeks ago...

i cut 12 out and they all need stuffing tonight...i have 3 willing helpers so that should be a good distraction from the football...

have a good weekend folks...we off to see a man about a dog tomorrow...quite literally...

here are a few pics of recent things...

don't you just love Christmas...i do...so much so, i usually leave a couple of decorations up for the whole year...is that bad luck? someone once told me that you had to take them down by the '12th night' or you had to keep them up all year...fine by me i say...

Debbie from minnado's house wanted to see my shelves now that they are filling up a bit...in fact you can hardly see the nice 70's wallpaper...but we all know it's there really don't we?!!

and check out my ladder brackets! doing a grand job of holding up some rolls of fabric!!!!

i've been going a bit doilie bunting crazy recently...i think i will put some in my Folksy/Etsy shop...once the shelves have been put up...which i think is this week....
