70's tastic quilt...

i made this last night...and i'm really rather pleased with it...

it's quite a large quilt...not quite single bed sized but it would sit nicely on the top of a single bed... (of course at this point i could just go and measure the thing...but that would be no fun when i can type 100 words trying to explain!!)

i enjoyed making it, and i think i will make a blue/green one too and perhaps sell it/them...in that shop i have...you know the one...the one with 'opening soon' on the door and the windows white-washed out...

inspired by a quilt in Chloe Owens book All Sewn Up...which is a lovely book with lots of nice projects in...

happy weekending folks whatever you are up to...

a bit of colour...

i was just  having a  look through my photos from the last couple of years, i do this quite often, and i seem to lose hours in the process...i don't know whether it's because i have 3 children and they really do change quite dramatically in a 6 month period, so i love looking at how their little faces have changed shape, or how long Miss T's hair is now...

...anyway, i found pictures of this quilt i made (in October 2010)!!!

it was one of the first quilts i made like this, using strips of fabric and making backing out of a fleece blanket, it may not be the most perfect quilt in the world, but i think it looks pretty smart...what do you think???
