yarn bomb and yarn stash...

a bit of yarn bombing has been going on here in sunny Norwich...

all the lamp posts outside the City Hall were bombed and the lion...and then removed by the council...and then replaced when the 'bombers' explained that they had put them there as part of the Norfolk & Norwich Festival going on at the moment...i think they look lovely...

this week has been all about sorting, tidying, de-cluttering and organising...i dare to think of how many balls of wool i have...but it was good to sort them out and see what i have got...best get crocheting this weekend...

butterflies and birds...

happy weekending folks whatever you do...

the one about the buttons...and friends

ahhh you can't beat a few nice buttons on a raggy bit of card...or is that just me...

ok...so it might just be me, but there is something lovely about a few buttons sewn onto a bit of card...i can't bring myself to use any of these because i just think they look nice mounted on scraggy card...little pieces of art almost...

these aren't buttons...these are mirangues with edible glitter on them...we make them from time to time around here and let me tell  you...they look lovely, and they taste just soooooo  nice...they never last long around here once out of the oven...

and a final note today...on friendship...i spent Sunday with my 2 bestest friends..we don't live near eachother anymore...we met here in Norwich at the Art School...about 17 years ago now, and once our course had finished i stayed here, and they both went back to their home towns...we have met quite a few times a year ever since and no matter how long the gap since we were last in touch we always pick up right where we left off...we have an ability to spend a day in london together just going from coffee shop to coffee shop catching up and making a whole day out seem like it was 10 minutes long...

i'm lucky to have friends like these...friends where you can just be yourself and not be judged...and always come home feeling very inspired and positive...

so heres to cinnamon swirls, crocheting in the sun and good friends...
