a bit of this...a bit of that...and a bit of the other...

ahhh lovely spring...with a hint of Christmas...(you can still see the reflections of the snowflakes we made and stuck on our dining room window...2 Christmases ago...)

i've been getting a bit more bunting-tastic over the last week too...i have managed to get a fair few orders, which is great, and i should really open my Etsy shop and get going on that...please someone come round and give me a whopping huge kick up the a**e...

and yesterday i attended a knicker making workshop, it was a really lovely afternoon and these are what i came away with at the end of it...the are most comfy i must say...the course boasted that these were going to be made on a domestic sewing machine...which was true, but this domestic machine was £999!!!!!...about £850 more than mine cost...so i don't know whether i will be whipping myself some new Knicks up any time soon...but it was really good fun...

tray inspired cakes!!!

and a little something to put in that Etsy shop...should i ever find the key to open the door...i haver made lots of these brooches over the past 2 days, i must say, they are qutie addictive to make, and very satisfying at the end...anyone want one?? i have yellow, white, cream, green, and purple!!!

adventure shoes...

remember these:

well...these gorgeous little red shoes went on quite a few adventures, they climbed trees, were filled with sand in the park...survived quite a few puddle jumping sessions, were worn around the house for many hours because "i need to put my school uniform on"...weeks before school started!  and now, the time has come for them to retire and be replaced by another pair of bobby dazzler shoes ready for new adventures...(fyi...these shoes lasted for 3 months!!!!!)

so long gorgeous red shoes...

Monday oh Monday...

before i start...yes i know it's tuesday today...but lets continue...

picture this...monday morning...7:28am...finger ready to press send to an email about this rather superb little workshop coming up in July

7:29...eldest son shouts through that he needs help with something in the lounge...so i run through, help him (with the volume on the remote!!!!) and fly back through to the kitchen to find that it's 7:30 and a bit...i press send and then convince myself that all the places must have gone because i didn't press send at 7:30 precisely...

so i do the school run, pick up a few bits from the post office, do the weekly food shop and come home to check emails...

and there...before my very eyes is an email say YES!

i had to read, re-read and then read again because i just couldn't believe it...

i booked 2 places, so the wonderful Kath from Inverleith and me will be taking ourselves off for a road trip on July 1st to meet Tiff and Rachelle (aka dottie angel and ted and agnes)...and let me tell you...i just CAN'T WAIT...

rose tinted specs at the ready...

sunshine and ladder brackets...

as part of sorting out all my bits and bobs in the spare/craft/ironing room i needed to move some rolls of fabric i have to make way for the bobby dazzling shelves (which are slowly filling up) and i didn't know where to stash these rolls....so...ladder brackets of course, they can then be filed out the way until i need to use them...

but ladder brackets aren't the most gorgeous looking of items are they....well...not until...

ta-dah...amazing what you can do with a bit of PVA and some fabric scraps!!  even Head of Finance said "they look amazing" because before he said they looked "too industrial"...next job is to put them up....

spring is in the air...
