The Major...

Major Sort Out reporting for duty...

over the last week i have been emptying our spare room which is where i do all my crafting and getting ready for a room swap with     Miss T...

she is 6 now, and really needs a big bed...so it's all change round these parts...she is currently sleeping in the loft with the boys - she loves it up there and camps there most weekend nights, which is lovely because i sometimes think, she thinks she is missing out on all the giddyness the boys get up to so it's nice for her to spend some time up there with them...

plus...her old room is floor to ceiling in my wool and fabric stash!

next week sees a freshly plastered ceiling in her new room - exciting.

this is the choice of wallpaper we have decided on...it's Cole & Son's Flamingo (no...really!!!) it's going to go on one wall and i think it will look rather lovely!

still crocheting Miss T's blanket...it's now 8X10 granny circle/squares so it's coming along nicely...

pics to follow!

off to London tomorrow...yay...

i spoke too soon...

the lurgy has hit...well it's hit Mr H...he has been in bed for 3 days with flu - not of the man variety - real flu (which he says would kill a woman!) and to top it all off just when he thought he had turned a corner, he goes and finds himself with an ear infection...what a start to 2013 eh!

this is a gorgeous necklace which was a gift from my brother in law and future sister in law...see...it does pay to leave what you are viewing on the laptop open so people can get ideas for christmas...

empty christmas tins...these will come in useful when me and Miss T swap rooms in a few weeks time...this will be a HUGE undertaking...involving plastering ceilings and lots of painting and Miss T moving into the loft room with the boys until her new room is finished...i am crocheting her blanket for her room (which i started last March as part of Granny A Day...)

its 7X8 granny circles at the mo...

next week sees school start again plus all the extra clubs that go with a normal term time week...i am however...going to London on Saturday for a spot of shopping and a theatre trip...exciting!

Christmas Shenanegans...

a very Merry Christmas to one and all

and may all your dreams come true in 2013...

it's the last day of the year today and the Christmas holidays have been lovely so far...mild illness has hit our house, but nothing bad enough to stop fun being had...

it's been absolutely wonderful not knowing what day of the week it is and eating anything that comes out of a square tin...

crafting has been stiring here with major room swaps planned for January - this had meant i have been speeding on with Miss T's granny a day blanket...photos to follow

we stay in on New Years Eve and have our AGM...think i may have blogged about this before...but we sit down with a notebook and talk about the good and bad things of the year gone and what we are most looking forward to in the coming year...we love it...and most people we tell think we are bonkers or a bit 'sad'...but this comes about after having a really pants year in 2007 and sitting and chatting about it on New Years Eve - we had 1 year old twins then and a 4 year old, and with no family near we didn't feel we could ask anyone to babysit...so...the AGM was born and i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT...

so heres to a fresh page and sharpened pencil...

Happy New Year everyone

Seville...

3 and a bit days in Seville...

here are some pics

lots and lots of memories...we had a great few days away...i could put hundreds of pictures of gorgeous rich tiles on here...but decided to put some of the other things on instead!!!  it really was a beautiful place...

and now onto Christmas...i've been busy as usual recently, with kiddies, school, clubs and the odd bit of crafting too...to be honest, i don't feel as organised as i usually do a week before Christmas, i haven't written a single card this year!...this time last year we were in Australia, and decided not to write any...it was actually quite nice not to...and i don't know whether to write any or not now...what do you think???
